I have a lot to tell you.

First on Friday night, McDonald (Sir Ian Fraser’s grandson) actually lent me his battery wireless. I heard Daddy’s name mentioned, also someone Ross. I heard six snatches of the carols. I was very pleased because it was so late and it was only [a] battery wireless. I think I ought to give some present to McDonald because he risked getting his wireless confiscated and also it was so late. After the carols someone woke up with a nightmare, but it was not the carols. I told Mr Barry about the carols and he appeared to tell Mr Evans, anyhow Mr Evans listened and he said they were wizard. Also, Mr Barry told Miss Noakes and Mr Mathewson. Mr Mathewson with his usual good humour said that it was not disharmonic. He also said that Miss Noakes liked the first one very much. Barry himself liked them very much indeed.

I may be able to get some stamps for you Sally.

We had our photographs taken on Wednesday, the picture of me has come out very well.

Yesterday we won the 2nd XI match and drew the first XI. We have only lost two this season.

It was lovely last Sunday going out and the time seems to be going quickly now.
